This project proposes densification at the intersection of infrastructure and the protected wooden house settlement of Ekebergskrenten, with the added challenge of being in the red noise zone.

The plinth or foundation is a crucial characteristic of domestic houses built on the area's steep terrain. This project reinterprets the traditional plinth as a sculptural form that integrates all essential functions required for living, proposing two added housing units to the plot; a house and a studio apartment.

To tackle the noise, the project re-uses REBLOC NB100, a commonly used concrete sound barrier panel along motorways on the domestic façades.
